Megs Motivates Me Again

So, I'm supposed to be working, but I was blog reading...

I was reading up a thread Meg posted and it got me thinking about my pvping and arena play. I was wondering how often I fall into said tunnel vision. I find in a BG my tunnel vision is turned off generally 100%. But I realized this is entirely a function of my survivability. When I was a fresh level 70, I was like a flea in BGs. Find something in cloth with a red name tag and latch on till it died or I died. Now I sit back and survey a situation from the top of an objective and only act when it’s needed. I calmly sit and think about the best course of action regardless of if I'm taking heat. I was wondering what the big cause is.

Then it hit me. I'm a complete bitch for most BG scrubs to kill and I have the time.

Survivability in a way leads to a clearing of tunnel vision. Now obviously a bad mentality is not going to be fixed by gear BUT fear of impending doom certainly is relived. When I was a fresh 70 nub cake despite my 20k pvp kills I ran into level 70 BGs in fear. Frost mages could kill me in 2 shatter procs. A rogue could drop me without blowing any cool downs. I had 7,xxx hp and like 30 resilience. That xxx wasn't 999 either :(.

So from that my recommendation to some of the newer players would be to play as though you were decked out in full pvp gear. The mentality of taking the time while steady shot is channeling to look around rather than going ZOMG MASH ARCANESHOT IM GONNA DIE SOON will really help you get some perspective. You'll be more alert to what other classes are up to and be able to pick apart a fight and say well here is where I should have trinketed. And when you have your 400 resilience you'll be better off.

On a less serious note later in her post Meg posted some of her key binds. And while knowing that when I face Meg in fives she’s pressing Shift+1 to fear me while pressing just 1 to fear my paladin. It doesn’t really help us hunters bind our crap very well. So here are most of my binds.
